splash

In and out, she coiled  her way about the lake waters with impish delight. She was a fish, unfarmed, breathing in its fresh clean waters with satisfaction, her scales, smooth cerulean skin. And when she noticed the man on shore, hands in pockets, smiling, she projected herself high above the water's surface and with one noble splash, disappeared below the late vernal sunset.

I'm so glad to read your words again. You have such a deft hand with images and feelings. Reading this is akin to watching an artist's brush strokes, revealing the (beautiful) image stroke by stroke.
