Beyond these, there are of course other words that influence me - from facebook, newspapers, articles, fellow bloggers, the poets at May Day Poetry Project, technical reads (they leave a bitter taste in my mouth, ears, toes, ..) to the wee books I read to my youngest students and the words so full of imagination that I receive from my middle-grade students.
I read many books this year that I would recommend; here are my top 3: The Almost Moon, When God was a Rabbit, and, Nocturnes pour Jessie. (tough pick!)

If I had to pick one for you, Polly, it would be 'If God was a Rabbit'. I have a feeling you might be glued to it the way I was!
