She wanted now to try her limbs in the sea, to swim in the tranquil magic she remembered it to be. But it had taken her so very long to find her moon; to reach the sea, she would have to compromise with time.
She would go back, allow herself to be a child again, risking her fate in the hands of those charged with her care.
