I have seen this place...but your pictures are so remarkable, you impart such a vitality to this little corner of our world. I've been staring at them, poring over them, exploring them for quite some time now. They're wonder-ful.

They're a new phenomenon this spring, mostly along the stumps of last year's fallen elms, appearing after every rainfall. They then burn in the sun & return again with the next rain. I love the little fungi!
They have me thinking of village roofs and communities invisible to us, living in a different time zone we can’t keep up with. Okay: I also was thinking of fairies, elves and leprechauns at first. To many influences.
