Great poem Marjo! Perhaps if we could slow earth's rotation a little, we could cheat the calendar and squeeze a blue moon into August. We're going to need to enlarge the earth's radius to do it, perhaps by placing a giant baloon under the crust and having everybody blow into it at once. Or we could call superman. On another note, I find it intriguing how much the blue moon image on your post resembles a DNA electrophoresis gel ( http://www.sciencephoto.com/media/395185/view ). So maybe the moon is made not of cheese but lengths of polynucleotides?
Sure, I'm on it Marjo. ;) Need to talk with some of the engineers though. One of the problems is that they seem to be coming up short on rubber for the balloon. I think we're going to have to "imagine" up some more of it to make this plan work. Can you get your contacts working on this end? I'll spread the word on my end too. That way, there should still be time to fix up an August blue moon...that is, if you don't think anybody would mind the catastrophic global tsunamis on western coasts and displaced rivers resulting from a rapid rotational braking of the earth. :-P

Ah..Julius..spoken like a doctor of biology! So like..ya think you can get on that balloon thingy asap?
(Please, and thank you:)

Correction: 'imagined' like a doctor of biology! :-)
