Black Out

Blackout on a moon-full night
Casting shadows on hot asphalt

I saunter city streets in search of light
So I can see the face behind the scream
So I can see why sirens stop suddenly near

I keep walking, waiting for the moon to drown the
Blinding dark and lift this fear that makes my heart
Skip every 3rd, every 2nd, first ...

Keys clasped between fisted fingers I step
One-two One, eventually finding home
Though truly it is the moon I seek.

From a space in the gloom, I felt like I was watching you walking through the dark city, feeling a bit of the fear. I enjoyed very much.
