disposition

It wasn’t her disposition that posed a problem. She was rather sweet, really. And everyone believed he loved her. But there were times when he doubted what at any other time he felt unshakably certain about. It was when her eyes glossed over and she went to that far away place that Brian couldn’t reach. He wasn’t at all sure he wanted to touch the place she disappeared to. And maybe that was the real problem, his not wanting any intimacy with her ghosts. He felt awful for not trying harder. But he had ghosts of his own after all, didn’t he.

Hmm..interesting! Well, I'm glad you liked, Anthony. And it's interesting you ask about how much of the story I knew. When I do these object word pieces, I always stop myself where I'm at after 7 minutes of stream of conscriousness writing. (How 'bout you send me your journals and I write that book! ;)
