Cómo tocar un cajón:

.

.
This piece forms part of the great Cuban documentary, "Calle 54". I treasure the film beyond words, and the proof is in the copies I own, which I began purchasing in VHS format. This particular piece had such an impact on me as to help me in my decision to form a multicultural Jazz Ensemble in 2003 - strong in percussions! - and it was responsible also for my decision to learn the Flamenco in 2005, along with the hand rhythms that make up part of its stories, dance, and music. And so . . . what happens when you combine Africa & Spain on a small island in the wide Sargasso Sea? Just watch and enJoy!
