A Thousand Words

.
Erase what the Man doesn't want, were the orders. One boy was charged with understanding what that meant, a boy with a brush. And he would erase it all. Who would be the wiser? No one would ask him about what they couldn't see, would they?

A thousand words would be erased. Inch by inch, history would be washed away, paint poured over the colours of a thousand artists, white washed upon the words of a thousand scribes and the thoughts of a thousand philosophers. No one would see, and just maybe, no one would remember, the boy thought . . .
.

your voice in this piece is different from the one(s) I have so far heard from you ... it is a fine voice, a clear voice, a voice expressing the vision of one with a steady, sure gaze ... it is a voice that gently leads us, the readers, to see our word from a different perspective, or, at the very least, encourages us to consider the idea and the worth of seeking out a different perspective ... thoughtful and thought-provoking, it is a voice I hope to hear again, and again in the future ... thanks

Better erased then rearranged…. Should we forgive? Only a thousand words….

Please don't erase them! Imagine writing those yourself...and then someone just goes over years later and paints over them and forgets the words you once loved so much...
